Minecraft: How to Survive in a Small Island

In Minecraft a small island with limited resources equals DOOM. There are a lot of ways to die like starving or being killed by mobs. However I got some tips for you to survive.

First use the wood there to make a boat. You can also use it to make tools. If there is no wood stay calm and swim to see any bigger island with more resources.
 
If you can't find any land. Just mine for resources. Use the animals in the land for food. Plant the saplings that the tree dropped to get some more wood. Make some torches to help you mine. You could also make your own mine. 

Once you've found a bigger island you can make better weapons and get more resources.
