How it works? Nuclear energy is a kind of complicated subject. It all starts with nuclear fusion or fission. Nuclear fusion is the process when two or more nuclei fuse to create heavier nuclei. Nuclear fission is the opposite it is when nuclei separate to create lighter nuclei. When nuclear fusion or fission happens it releases energy.
